With Broken Wings, rooted in Los Angeles, California began as a screamo group in 2003. Their first independent release Tonight Is The Night My Heart Stops... was widely spread across the Los Angeles underground scene and became a must-download on music sharing networks like Napster, Kazaa, Bearshare, and more. Utilizing their internet popularity, they became known worldwide, spawning various dedication videos and covers from bands and fans from all points of the globe. Pretty good for band that hasn't ever toured outside of their homestate, right?

After several line-up changes and break-up's to make-up's, With Broken Wings is back with a new sound and a new attitude. Making the jump from the Screamo scene to straight up Pop-Rock was a decision the band made in early 08, when they chose to reunite after a long hiatus.

With Broken Wings shows promise in the music scene offering fans their laid-back California attitudes combined with the same hard-hitting energy early fans have come to expect. Along with the addition of keys and synth, WBW has taken their hardcore guitar riffs and molded them into driving melodies that, along with a strong rhythm section, shape the current sound you've come to hear.

Indeed the band’s raw talent for performing live, alongside their newly recorded Ep (coming soon), has allowed them to develop their devout and geographically diverse fan base. With Broken Wings’ strength lies in the seamless combination of vocals and musical arrangement. Singer, Alex Gomez‘s voice carries new enthusiasm much like that of Taking Back Sunday, Jimmy Eat World, and Circa Survive.

The carry over from the band’s original project has been minimal. With Broken Wings has quite out shadowed its former self, proving that the new entity isn’t going anywhere and neither are their fans. Plain and simple, With Broken Wings is a band to get excited about.
