SCENE REPORT: NASHVILLE
(LONG-OVERDUE) RECAP OF THE LAST STOP ON THE EIY SPRING (INTO ACTION) TOUR
We made it!!!
This was the originally-unplanned last date on the tour, and tons of kids came out for the meet-up, and we got to see some great bands and old friends. Nashville is a crazy music town known for country, but we are excited to see what the new wave of young/indie/DIY musicians do to get their own scene going! The bands on this bill had some of the most dedicated fans of any of the bands we saw on the tour!
The band we picked from this Nashville show will represent Nashville at the nearest Warped Tour date that doesn’t already have an EIY band, which is Cincinnati!
It was way too dark to get any good shots of the bands, but check out the amazing meet-up turnout:

Here’s my recap from the show!
Band: Details Details from Nashville
Owl City without directly ripping off Ben Gibbard! Great keyboardist and super nice guy.
Check them out HERE.
Band: Dinner And A Suit from Nashville
Met these guys when they played the Ernie Ball Stage on last summer’s Warped Tour, and they are still one of the best (and on of my favorite) independent bands in the country, as far as I’m concerned, not to mention some of the sweetest guys ever. When their set was over, my tour manager said to me: “That’s what I have been waiting to see this entire tour.”
Go discover them HERE.
Band: On My Honor from Knoxville
Met these guys through the old EIY website and have kept up with them ever since, including playing one of the MOST AMAZING house shows I’ve ever played, at their band house outside Knoxville. These guys embody the values of DIY/EIY perfectly. Someone take them out on tour!
Check them out HERE.
Band: Since Forever from Nashville
The modern day equivalent of a boy band, under the guise of “pop-punk.”
Check them out HERE
Band: Farewell Fighter from Nashville
This band has some of the most dedicated fans I’ve seen in a long time. They have been building and cultivating their local scene for years, and are at the point where all that’s left to do is try to live on the road, which they are doing this year. I know what that’s like! Somebody bring these guys food and let them sleep on your couch!
Check them out HERE.
I don’t think it will come as a surprise that we picked Farewell Fighter to represent Nashville at the Cincinnati Warped Tour date. Not only did they put together this entire show themselves and bring more kids to the meet-up than almost any other band on the tour, but they also work hard, do it themselves, know their philosophy, don’t ask for handouts, and they really believe in what they’re doing. Plus, they’re a great band!
Thank you to all the amazing kids who came out in Nashville to support their favorite bands! It really says a lot about you guys.
Love,
Sarah & EIY
