A great way for exposure

Hello:

A great way to get exposure and respect throughout your local area is to hand out fliers at shows. The fliers can be promoting a general cause such as your next show, or a new release of an album, shirt, or even song. Sometimes, you can just hand out fliers or stickers with your bands name and information on it. This is a great way to meet new people, and make new friends in the music business that can later help you out. We try to get out to at least 3 shows/events a week to hand out fliers. A good idea is to go to other shows at the venue you are playing and hand out fliers promoting your show. If you get mobile, and move around to different areas and shows, more promoters, bands, and even fans will begin to recognize you, your band, or your fliers. If you have any questions about how to get started, feel free to message us under our EIY page. Hope this can help! Thanks for reading.

very true
where better to find people that like music than at another musical event?
we handed out fliers at bmth/mis sigs and sold out our local venue a few weeks later. don't be afraid to approach people either, give a face to the name/date
