I’M STILL HERE!

QUICK UPDATE ON ALL THE HAPS

Moving to a new apartment straight from the airport after being on the road for two months, but more like two years of living out of a suitcase, is HECTIC. On top of that, I decided to get rid of my cell phone last week and go totally online. But I jumped the gun a bit and transferred my number to Google Voice before actually installing the internet at my new place, so I’ve been without phone AND internet at home since last Monday. This has severely hindered my ability to catch up on EIY stuff… but I’m not too far behind!

Or am I? -

I’ve got three more Scene Reports to finish up, and then a general tour recap to post, and Warped Tour starts this week so we are hustling to round up all the street teamers and winning bands to make sure they are all ready for their role on the tour! And in the midst of all of that, I’m still trying to get the new website finished and launched. And I still have to put up the “EIY Handbook” zine and the handmade EIY shirts in some kind of online store capacity — plus I need to finish the free downloadable PDF version of the zine and get that link out into the inter-verse.

And that’s not even the end of the list.

In fact, the list is so long that I think it’s time for me to find people who want to get involved with EIY in a purely voluntary, intern-type fashion this summer. There’s going to be a lot of new stuff to do, and I’ve already got some great people helping get everything done, but there’s still more to do! So I’m going to start posting specific tasks that I need help with, and then I’ll (hopefully) find someone trustworthy to take on each task as it comes up. Let’s start right now!

HELP WANTED: I need to create RSVP (event) pages on the EIY Facebook page for each date of this summer’s Vans Warped Tour, so people can RSVP for the backstage meet-ups that will be happening each day. The event pages need to have that specific Warped Tour date’s information, including start times, etc. I’ll link to these pages from the EIY website.
DEADLINE: JUNE 24th/25th (or as soon as possible)

HELP WANTED: I’d like to find anyone who is well-versed in WordPress to help me with things like adding event dates with links to RSVP pages, to the EIY website. This would have to be someone I know and trust, who is a super-geek, obviously.
