Earn It Yourself	Here are the updated plans for EIY’s partnership with this year’s Vans Warped Tour! PROJECT WARPED TOUR PHASE ONE: SET UP LOCAL EIY CHAPTERS IN WARPED TOUR CITIES – In Progress! GOALS: Establish local EIY Chapters in cities near this summer’s Warped Tour dates. Join or start your local EIY Chapter at earnityourself.com/chapters. ==================================================================== PHASE TWO: SPRING INTO ACTION – In Progress! GOALS: Organize local EIY meet-ups hosted by local Chapters, inviting local bands, blogs, zines, labels, venues, promoters, artists, and other community members to bring promotional materials for the EIY Chapter to distribute at local Warped Tour date. (Note: Promotional items must be for FREE giveaway.) Suggested materials: - Compilation CDs featuring local artists - Flyers from bands, venues, and promoters with upcoming local shows - Pamphlet promoting local organizations, companies, radio stations, etc. - Tee shirts, buttons, zines, stickers, bracelets, patches, etc. Stickers are forbidden at some Warped Tour venues; please research the rules of your local venue Agenda for meet-ups should also include: - Ideas for promoting local EIY Chapter at Warped Tour - Plans to promote local Warped Tour date - Collecting information about upcoming shows and events for EIY Chapter calendar - Delegating tasks to Chapter members - Recruiting bands and new members for future meet-ups and events - Ideas for articles to contribute to EIYpedia - Show Trading offers and requests to post in Forums - Questions, feedback, comments, and ideas for the local EIY Chapter Lastly, local Chapters will be responsible for submitting meet-up recaps that include photos, description of the event, and Chapter Member profiles for the EIY Blog before each Chapter’s Warped Tour date. Attend or host your local EIY meet-up by joining or starting your local Chapter at earnityourself.com/chapters. ==================================================================== PHASE THREE: REPRESENT YOUR SCENE – This Summer on Warped! GOALS: Send a handful of Chapter Members to represent EIY and their local scene at the nearest Warped Tour date this summer. Reps will volunteer for Feed Our Children Now in their booth at the show, and will be responsible not only for helping with set-up and facilitation of FOCN needs, but also for handing out promo materials and gathering sign-ups for EIY. In addition to working with FOCN, promoting EIY and collecting sign-ups, EIY reps will also be responsible for conducting interviews at Warped Tour (including a group interview / meet-up with Kevin Lyman), taking photographs and documenting their day at the tour, and submitting a wrap-up report to be posted in the EIY Blog. To volunteer, join your Local EIY Chapter HERE. ==================================================================== EIY MEET-UPS ON THE WARPED TOUR & THE EIY PODCAST – Every Monday @ 8PM CST! This will be the third year in a row that EIY will be bringing people together to talk about their local music scenes on the Warped Tour. The structure will be different this year, as we are focusing on putting the past couple years of meet-ups into action with the creation of Local EIY Chapters. Chapter Members will have the chance to have their own in-person meet-up with Kevin Lyman on the Warped Tour as part of “Phase Three” of Project Warped Tour. For everyone else, we’ll be hosting a weekly EIY Podcast (launching May 28th) for everyone to call into (live) or listen to online (recorded). The Podcast will be hosted by Sarah Saturday and will include special guest speakers, discussing a different topic each week, and featuring Members of EIY Chapters who will recount their experiences at Warped Tour and their plans for upcoming meet-ups and events in their cities. colinfeeney	Thanks Dusty! I’m kinda disappointed about how the New York EIY Chapter has no one in it considering it’s such a huge city. Any ideas on how to spread the word?

christinaamm	Is it too late to get involved in trying to volunteer for the July 11th Warped Tour date? I posted in the Cleveland forum but no one has yet to initiate any meet up. I’d love to get involved!

Anika_Jo	At Warped Tour(specifically Chicago), where do we go/meet up to volunteer for the FOCN tent? I’m currently a EIY Chapter member(as of today) and do not see information about that? I’d love to help! Thanks :]
